Brad's proposed that our next constructed event be Two-Headed Giant, Standard Format. This is a great idea, since 2HG went really well the first time we did it.
So, here are the points we need to discuss and decide on: *Proxies - I suggest we go with 0 proxies for Standard. But if we do any, it will be one total number for the combined decks.
*When? - Wk 4 (30 March) sounds decent, as it'll give people some time to do some deck building. If this week doesn't work, say so.
*Cost & Prize structure - Do we want to explore prizery for this? Creature Feature was free & prizeless and no one seemed to care.
What am I missing? Also note, Wk 10 will be Time Spiral Block constructed, a good way to conclude a season of Time Spiral drafting. Wk 1 draft will be $5!!
Edit: Wk 4 is then out. I really really hate scheduling around band, but it's half our play group and this isn't last-minute yet. Someone else please pick a date.

There will be lots of pitchforking going on on 30 march. Convention in Cincinatti. I could make it, but the rest wouldn't be able to.

Hokay, so we've decided on Week 8 for 2HG Standard. Things still to discuss include: proxies, prizes, etc.

Hey, are we doing proxies? I dont have uh... any time to make decks, so proxies would make my life easier. No digging through boxes looking for real copies of cards.

Ben, it looks like you're going to be the point man on this tourney since neither I nor Mike nor Alex can make it. I'd advise against it as it is Standard, but that call should be made by some people who are playing.

Make it some proxies, Ben. It's not going to be sanctioned anydangway with all the judges out of town.

Alrighty then, 20 proxies split between the two decks. A small number of proxies to fill in gaps, but I'm interested to see what people come up with. On that note, anyone who wants to borrow cards is welcome to hit me up.

Right, then. Uh... you with el Jefe on that Dark Depths idea or do you want to try to defend white weenie while it attempts to beat down two decks at once?
Alternatively, there's always storm.
Storm good.

Not sure when I said I'd not be able to make it. I bothered to get a sanctioning number for it. And hoped to use it as more 2HG judging practice for the 2HG PTQ on Saturday. My bad. I think I'll just sit this event out all together. If you want links to the various floor rules I can send them to you. That being directed at Ben and anyone who wants them / doesn't want to search for them.

Unfortunately, due to a lab final that same evening, I'll be unable to attend the 2HG event. I hope everyone who goes has a good time.
And to Mike, who'll be seeing some weird-ass interactions on Saturday's event, good luck buddy! You've always been the man to go to for rules questions, I hope the guys in Columbus will see that too!
P.S. Sorry for not making it to the pre-release guys; research projects blow, enough said.

My bad, I forgot that Mike was not going to be herding cats in Detroit on Friday night.

Well, I'd rather not use em, or atleast have a set number so I know what to work with. I was just saying that if its sanctioned wouldn't that mean no proxies?

Alrighty then, 20 proxies split between the two decks. A small number of proxies to fill in gaps, but I'm interested to see what people come up with. And in answer to your question, a sanctioned event means absolutely no proxies. But given Mike's previous responses, I'm certain tonight's sanctioning number will not be put to use.
